We are all unique, and foods that work beautifully for one person may not necessarily suit another. FoodFit BioCompatibility Testing is a simple, non-invasive assessment that I use to explore which foods and everyday household items may be more or less compatible with the individual. Using a small sample of hair, approximately the size of your thumbnail more than 600 commonly encountered foods and household items are assessed. Coloured or chemically treated hair can also be used. Your results form the basis of a 6-month personalised wellness program, with the initial focus on adjusting your diet to favour foods identified as more compatible with your individual profile. The aim is to simplify what you are eating, reduce potential dietary stressors and give your body an opportunity to restore greater balance. One of the things I particularly like about this approach is that it focuses primarily on changing what goes into the body rather than simply adding more supplements. This can make it a useful option for children, older clients taking multiple medications, people who have difficulty identifying or communicating their symptoms, or anyone looking for a gentle, non-invasive approach to personalising their diet. I also use FoodFit alongside other naturopathic therapies where appropriate, particularly for clients experiencing persistent digestive concerns, skin issues, fatigue, food sensitivities or symptoms that seem to fluctuate with diet or environment. As with all testing, results are considered alongside your health history, symptoms and other clinical findings to determine the most appropriate approach for you.
